In this workshop we will discuss empathy from the perspective of Intersubjective Self Psychology. Toward that end, Karen Roser and Aviva Rohde will present clinical vignettes that illustrate empathy in action. The vignettes will demonstrate an empathic approach to anxiety and the role of empathy in opening up previously hidden areas of self experience. A discussion of the case material and the concepts presented will follow.

Two Continuing Education Credits for social workers and psychoanalysts. We will update about potential continuing ed credits for psychologists.
